How To Get Involved
-
The best way to get involved is to join a Laughter Club Victoria Inc (LCVi) club that meets at a time that suits you. It is FUN & FREE;
-
You can click on our Club Locations page to see where we meet and the contact person for each club;
-
Give them a call to check the details of location and time to ensure there has been no last minute changes. Let them know to look out for you!
-
Consider starting with a visit to our flagship session at Melbourne's Federation Square (11am on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month);
If you want to start your own club or expand on an existing club, you can undertake our LCVi Laughter Leader Training. It is a weekend course we run several times a year. Click here for more information.
If you are interested in bringing laughter to your workplace, senior citizens club or school, we have a group of leaders who can do this. The fee for this service enables LCVi to continue to support the clubs.
A fun way for LCVi members to get involved is to be part of our public activities—join with other laughter club members in the Australia Day March; be part of a presentation at a MindBodySpirit Festivals; participate in our World Laughter Day celebrations.
LCVi members are able to put comments on our Facebook Page.
There are many ways to get involved and be part of our Laughter Community !
Laughter Club Sessions
Participants come together for 30 minutes, usually on a weekly basis and under the guidance of a trained Laughter Club Leader.
Together we stretch and do some yogic breathing; share a variety of simulated laughing exercises; and break up each set of laughs with a clapping activity.
Events
Our annual events include World Laughter Day (WLD) on the first Sunday in May and is usually held at the Melbourne Federation Square Atrium from 11:00am to 12:00pm.
MindBodySpirit Festival, the largest wellbeing event in Australia, happens twice a year in Melbourne on the Queen's Birthday long weekend and in November.
